David Hayden paints “Beauty” using a novel twist: Sketchbook Pro and Wordfoto (the twist) on an iPad.
He got wind of Wordfoto from Rita Flores and says: “When I was trying to think what word or words that would be appropriate and have some type of meaning, when it came to this illustration, to me and to those who may view it. Many came to mind. But the main thought about this illustration and the photo from which I used as inspiration and as a reference was that she is so beautiful. And that was it ‘Beauty’ I though it summed it up pretty well."It took some time but with Google Translate at my side I looked up several translations. I then downloaded every possible international keyboard layout I could get on my iPad. I didn’t want to miss any letters or variation of, including any accents."
